Caribbean Ports of Call
Day 1
Cape Liberty, NJ
This is a new port for cruises. It's the first in New Jersey in 40 years and gives passengers great views and easy access to New York City (lower Manhattan, pictured) through the Verrazano Narrows Bridge and the Statue of Liberty.
Day 4
Key West, FL
Key West is the southern most point in the U.S. Connected to the mainland by a single highway, Key West sometimes seems to take you back to another era when the pace was slower. Home of Ernest Hemingway and former rum runners, you can enjoy the old-time atmosphere along the main street. Mallory Docks will give you a most memorable sunset.
Day 5
Cozumel, Mexico
Cozumel is often thought of as the gem of the Mexican Caribbean. Located just 12 miles east of the Yucatan Peninsula, Cozumel is a Scuba diver's paradise with it's beautiful coral reefs that serve as a underwater sanctuary for hundreds of exotic species of fish. Whether you snorkel or Scuba, you'll have a wonderful time as an underwater tourist. Or stay on the surface and enjoy it's beaches.
Day 6
Costa Maya, Mexico
A short sail from the resort life of Cancun, Costa Maya is full of history and tradition. In Costa Maya, you'll find a treasure of Mayan ruins, ancients forts and villages scattered in a lagoon filled landscape. It's a great site for exploration, painting or just plain relaxation.
Day 7
Georgetown, Grand Cayman
Famous for the soft white sands of it's 7-Mile Beach, Grand Cayman sports one of the most beautiful coasts in the Caribbean. You can go Scuba diving or snorkel in Sting Ray City where the docile rays will swim so close that you can touch their velvet soft underside. It's also a great place for sailboarding or fine duty free shopping at Kent Freeport, a top jewelry shop in the Caribbean. Be sure to take home some of their famous rum cake.
Day 8
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
Ocho Rios is famous for Dunn's River Falls. You can follow your guide as he leads you upstream through a series of limestone steps hidden below the rushing water and stop along the way for a dip in one of the fall's crystal clear pools.
Day 9
Labadee, Hispaniola
Hispaniola is a mountainous island, blanketed in tropical foliage and exotic vegetation. While the island may serve as a picturesque playground for water-lovers, it's easy to find places that make you feel as if this were your private place.
