Day 1
Rome, Italy

Begin and end your cruise in the "Eternal City" where the sights from the past are everywhere intermixed with those of a great modern Rome. Visit the Vatican's Sistine Chapel, the Roman Coliseum (left) with it's colorful history and the Pantheon where the vast 142'-cupola is being restored. Enjoy a cup of espresso in one of the many cafes along the Via Venito. Drop a coin in the Trevi to promise your return. You can take the Vatican VIP Tour or the historic Panoramic Tour.

Day 2
Naples
Naples is the country's third most populated city where you'll immediately feel the friendly spirit of it's people in this sunny metropolis as you sample its historic sights, fabulous shopping galleria and irresistible cuisine situated on the Bay of Naples. Mount Vesuvius, the Amalfi Coast and the romantic isle of Capri's famous Blue Grotto are just a short drive from the city.
Day 4
Rhodes, Greece
Rhodes used to be the capital of Dodecanese Islands and an important city from 500 to 300 BC. It's the site of historic battles between the Knights of St. John and the Ottoman Empire. Sights include the Old City with it's walled medieval town, the Palace of the Grand Masters, Street of the Knights, the Temple of Venus, and Archeological and Byzantine Museums. It was said to be more beautiful than the sun. Indeed there is much sun there along with balmy weather and sandy Agathi beach.
Day 5
Izmir, Turkey
Shown on left is the clock tower of Izmir.Izmir is ancient Ephesus and recommended sites include St. John's Basilica & the Virgin Mary's Shrine. Be sure to see the Terrace Houses and take the Ephesus VIP tour.
D ay 6
Istanbul
Istanbul (formerly Constantinople) is the virtual crossroads of the world. It bridges the East and the West, the secular and the sacred, the old and the new, and Europe with Asia. As the final stop for the famed Orient Express, Istanbul often marked the beginning of the long journey into China for traders using the Silk Road. Visit the fabled Grand Bazaar, the Old City, the Blue Mosque (left), the Archaeological Museum, Hagia Sophia (a 1,500 year old church, mosque and museum) and Topkapi Palace. You can also take the scenic Bosphorus Cruise.
Day 8
Athens, Greece
This is the place for views of Greek civilization past. A visit to the Acropolis, including the Parthenon (left), the Temple of Poseidon and the Theatre of Dionysosis are must sees. Also Herod Atticus Theatre and the just redesigned National Archeological Museum that houses a great collect of ancient art and artifact are breath taking. See also the Olympic Stadium, site of 2004 games.
Day 9
Katakolon
  Visit this beautiful Greek island and just relax.
Day 11
Livorno, Italy
Livorno is the port for Florence and Pisa, in beautiful Tuscany. Florence is the cradle of the Renaissance. Here you will find some of the world's greatest artworks by Leonardo da Vinci and Boticelli. You'll be astonished by the magnificent frescoes, ornate cathedrals and Ghiberti's famous doors, the Gates of Paradise. But the masterpiece you can't leave without seeing is Michelangelo's David (left).
